Activities include singing,
movement, music appreciation, and introduction to
keyboard.

Keyboard Explorers
Explore outer
space, tropical islands, mountains and more through
keyboard playing, as well as singing, ear training, note
and rhythm reading.
For 4 & 5 year olds.
Four-week session on Tuesdays
beginning June 8 from 3:45 –
4:30, Wednesdays beginning June 2
from 5:45-6:30 pm or on Saturdays beginning June 5
from 10:45 – 11:30 am.

Zoo Adventures
Four-week
beginner keyboard class for 6-7 year olds.
Zoo-themed songs are used to
learn to play the keyboard, sing, play rhythm ensembles,
and read music.
Meets Mondays from 3:30-4:30,
June 7, 14,
21 and 28.

Keyboard Encounters Kids
Keyboard and
ensemble playing for 8-9 year old beginners.
Students will learn to play
the very first day with this hands-on way to develop
musical creativity.
Meets Wednesdays from 4:30 –

“Way Cool” Keyboarding!
If your pre-teen enjoys Rock ‘n’ Roll,
Contemporary Christian, or Pop music, this
NEW
course is for them.
In addition to playing pieces
in these styles,
this four-week session offers
ensemble and improvisation experiences, and experience in
reading chord charts.
Pre-teens ages 10-12 meet on
Tuesdays from 6:30-7:30 pm beginning
June 8.

Hands-On Composers (Ages 4 –
6)
A multi-cultural
introduction to composition!
A multi-sensory journey of
discovery of a range of “dance music”.
Through listening, playing
and moving, students will be supported in their creative
thinking as they compose together and independently.
Students will:

Have hands-on experience of a range
of instruments

Learn to differentiate between
instruments both visually and aurally
-
Experience different dance rhythms
through movement

Compose “dance melodies” in
different meters for keyboard and percussion

Have the opportunity to ‘perform’
on the last day of the class

Hands-On Composers (Ages 7 – 9)
A unique
opportunity to learn how to compose original themes from a
classic tale!
Hands-on instrument
opportunities, together with a well-known musical story,
introduce participants to the instruments of the orchestra
and themed composition.
Students will:

types and sounds

Explore style and mood in music

Convey their own thoughts and ideas
