AMEC GENERAL POLICY
Atlanta Music Education Center is owned and operated
independently of Yamaha Corporation of America. Yamaha
Corporation provides teacher training and certification
and sells Yamaha materials to authorized schools. Yamaha
Corporation does not set fees, calendars, or policies for
local schools. All financial agreements are between the
consumer and AMEC.
REFUNDS Students enrolled
in Music Wonderland, Junior Music Course 1, and Young
Musicians' Course 1 may withdraw from class at anytime
during the first four weeks of class. Should a student
withdraw, a pro-rated refund of the tuition paid will be
issued or can be credited for future use. NO REFUNDS WILL
BE GIVEN AFTER THE FOURTH WEEK OF CLASS.
MATERIALS Materials are
not returnable.
FAMILY DISCOUNT A 10%
tuition discount will be given to additional siblings
enrolled in any of our classes. Discount does not apply to
materials.
RECITALS Children will
participate in a recital during class when they finish a
book, approximately each semester. All students will
participate in a school concert which is scheduled at
least once a year.
ABSENCES It is important
for you and your child to attend every class and to be on
time. This insures the success of the program and keeps
your child comfortable with the class. BECAUSE ATTENDANCE
IS SO IMPORTANT, THERE IS NO TUITION REDUCTION FOR MISSED
CLASSES. If you have a conflict with your scheduled class,
your child may attend a make-up class (at the same level)
at no charge. Check with your teacher for other options if
no other class is offered at the appropriate level.
PARENT PARTICIPATION A
parent or appropriate adult is required to attend Music
Wonderland and Junior Music Course with his or her child.
Parents are not required to attend Young Musicians Course
or Junior Extension Course, although they may.
CLASS SIZE Each class
must have a minimum of 4 students. If a class for which
you have registered does not have enough students, we may
contact you and make arrangements for another class time.
Classes will be regrouped at the instructor's discretion.
SAFETY For your child's
safety, please make sure they wait for you inside and that
you escort them in the parking lot.
CONTACT INFORMATION
Please make sure we have accurate e-mail addresses and
phone numbers so we can contact you regarding assignments,
class cancellations, and other unforeseen occurrences.
RELEASE I understand that
my child may be photographed while at the studio or in
performances and understand that these pictures may be
used in flyers, advertisements, or on the website. I give
AMEC full permission to use them.
